Overview

Gwaenynog is a beautiful B&B in a quiet and scenic location, about a mile from the River Vyrnwy. The stunning views and wildlife of Lake Vyrnwy are also just 9 miles away. We are at approx 600 feet above sea level, so have some amazing views, including the imposing presence of Moel Bentyrch.

 

Accommodation Details

There are extremely comfortable beds, powerful showers, sumptuous towels, fragrant shower gels and shampoos. There's a choice of teas and coffee in all the rooms with fresh milk, flat screen TV�s with Freeview & DVD players, and if you must, Free WIFI; With varying views from every window, each bedroom has its own distinctive character. You will be greeted with either tea or coffee and perhaps some homemade cake (for arrivals between 4-6pm).

The accommodation comprises:

3 attractive and comfortable en-suite double bedrooms, designed specifically to ensure you have a comfortable stay:
- Owl has a double four poster bed
- Peregrine is our twin room, or can be set-up as a superking
- Heron is the double

We gave them these names, as you can frequently see these birds from the windows - and of course out in the garden.
- All the bedrooms have fine views of the garden and fields surrounding the house
- Each room has flat screen Freeview televisions with DVD player
- DAB radio with iPod dock
- Touch control bedside lighting, but also with a pull cord for the main light accessible from the bed
- Free Wi-Fi access
- Beverage trays with a selection of teas & coffee, hot chocolate, fresh milk and water - with wine glasses and a bottle opener, so you can bring your own...
- Silent mini fridge on the landing for the fresh milk and water
- On the ground floor there is a spacious, comfortable guest sitting/dining room with an open inglenook fireplace, large flat screen TV & DVD - exclusively for guests - and is perfect for relaxing, with views over the gardens
- We offer evening meals for relaxed home cooking - "generous and filling, and very tasty".

An ideal base from which to explore Mid Wales and is a short driving distance from Lake Vyrnwy, Welshpool, Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Machynlleth, Llangollen, Dolgellau, Snowdonia, and a little farther away are the beaches of Cardigan Bay, or shopping at Chester and Aberystwyth.
