Situated in the heart of the market town of Alnwick these one bedroom maisonette holiday apartments are set over two floors and have a shared courtyard garden with tables and chairs. Converted from the town’s Corn Exchange which was built in 1862 though by the late 1800’s market activity had ceased and it was transformed into a Victorian theatre. A notable visitor was Charles Dickens Junior who came to read some of his father’s work. Alnwick with its splendid castle and internationally renowned gardens has a good selection of shops cafes restaurants and pubs and is a perfect place for a romantic getaway. The town also boasts a lively playhouse/cinema and a modern leisure complex with indoor swimming pool. Centrally located between the Northumberland National Park and the sandy beaches of the Heritage coast this is a perfect location for exploring Northumberland. The pretty village of Alnmouth with its sandy beach and link golf course is 5 miles while Rothbury which sits on the edge of the National Park and home of Cragside House NT is 11 miles away.
