Overview

The Old Rectory Coach House offers cosy and comfortable accommodation within a beautifully restored historic building. We are ideally situated in the heart of Sampford Brett - a tranquil and pretty village, nestling between Exmoor, the Quantock Hills and the Somerset coast. Our accommodation is ideal for families, walkers and cyclists and provides very easy access to an extensive network of footpaths and bridleways. This includes the Coleridge Way and Macmillan Way West which are routed through our village.

 

Accommodation Details

Both properties sleep 4 and are equipped to a very high standard. Farm View (3*) has one large double bedroom and one twin room with bunks (and a sofa bed in the lounge) whereas The Elms (4*) has two double bedrooms. Both properties are equipped to a very high standard and our tariffs are inclusive of central heating, plentiful hot water, bed-linen, fluffy towels and broadband.

Pets and children are welcome and we offer short breaks throughout the year

General Details

The Old Rectory Coach House is set within 2 acres of grounds. There is a small lawn adjacent to the entrance to Farm View and The Elms with table and chairs, a picnic bench and a barbecue.

In front of the Old Rectory there is a large level lawn that that is a good area for badminton and ball games. Behind the Old Rectory there are further lawns with fruit trees, flower beds and a swimming pool. There is also a steep, rough field/woodland for the more adventurous.

Our outdoor swimming pool is open from May until September. The pool has a solar cover that makes it surprisingly warm during the summer months. A table and chairs are provided on the pool side and its a lovely sheltered place to relax with a cup of coffee even during the winter.

Please note that access to both properties is up an external flight of 8 steps so the accommodation is not suitable for people who find steps difficult.
