Thanks to the warming Gulf Stream palm trees grow easily here and just 1 mile away Westport’s fine sandy beach is popular with windsurfers. Set on the owners’ working farm Langa Cottage also lies within a short drive of world class golf at Machrihanish on the shores of the Atlantic and walking on the Kintyre Way from Tarbert to Southend is close by. Visitors can enjoy a tour and a ‘wee dram’ at the whisky distillery at Springbank and the Linda McCartney Memorial Garden is nearby. Trips to the islands of Gigha Islay and Jura are easily accessible and the airport (4 miles) has twice daily flights to Glasgow. Shops and pubs 3.5 miles.
