Set in the heart of Summer wine country this lovingly restored Mill cottage is situated right next to the River Holme in the village of Hinchliffe Mill, just over a mile south of Holmfirth. Ideal for peaceful breaks and for those wanting to enjoy the countryside from their doorstep.

The village of Hinchliffe Mill has a convenient bus service into Holmfirth and Huddersfield. Within easy walking distance of the cottage is the village store ( which sells almost everything including takeaway sandwiches and snacks), the local pub, tearoom and other shops.

The 150 year old Mill cottage has been renovated to a high standard but has retained many original features. The small but comfortable cottage has mullion windows, beamed ceilings and the original stone fireplace, now enhanced by a wood burning stove.

The old features have been complemented with a well equipped modern kitchen, including washing machine, leather furniture in the lounge together with flat screen TV, DVD and Hifi.

Originally a 2 bedroom property the cottage has been converted to provide one spacious bedroom with king size bed, writing desk and ample drawer and wardrobe space. The bedroom has delightful views over the River, Mill pond and to rolling countryside beyond. The only likely noise will be the ducks in the river below......

The bathroom has been modernised and provides a bath, thermostat controlled shower and heated towel rail. The cottage also benefits from its own private parking space, double glazing, central heating, hair dryer. All bed linen and towels are provided. A travel cot can be provided by request, No smoking is allowed but one small dog by prior arrangement is permitted.....see terms and conditions.

The cottage is open plan to the ground floor with two two seater leather sofas, tv, dvd, cd player, log burning fire, central heating, to the kitchen is an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine. To the second floor is one large bedroom with a king size bed, wardrobe, drawers and desk with super fast wifi. an iron and hairdryer are also provided. To the modern bathroom is a bath and shower.

A deposit of 50 pounds is required and the balance must be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival. For bookings less than 6 weeks prior to arrival the full amount is payable.

 

General Details

The cottage is ideal for walkers with many walks starting from the doorstep. 5 minutes from local shops and an excellent village pub which serves food . Only half a mile from the Vineyard, which makes its own wine, wine tours available it also has a cafe/retaurant with fantastic views. 1.5 miles from the centre of Holmfirth with many shops and restaurants and the Picturedrome which has live bands most weeks.
