Set within 2 acres of garden, paddock and duck pond (dog friendly). Within easy reach of Cerne Abbas, the ancient abbey town of Sherborne and the historic market town of Dorchester. Within easy travelling distance to many lovely coastal attractions including Lulworth Cove, Weymouth and Lyme Regis. Recommended Pub within 100 yards. Pets welcome (up to 2 no extra charge).

 

Accommodation Details

"The Willows" is a converted 4 star three bed roomed self catering accommodation for up to six people. Each bedroom has en-suite facilities and lovely views over the surroundings fields and gardens. There are two double and one twin bedroom. There is a large conservatory and a well fitted out kitchen which is equipped with all the necessities you will need for a week or two away.

Otter's Holt is a luxurious Wessex built Milbourne 4 star lodge cabin with three bed rooms and provides self catering accommodation for six people (8 with the use of a quality sofa bed in the lounge). There is one double (en-suite) and two twin bedrooms. There is decked balcony, a large lounge and a well fitted out kitchen which is equipped with all the necessities you will need for a week or two away. Otters Holt is set to the side of the paddock within a large grassed garden area with lovely country views".

The Barn Cottages; �Toad Hall� (sleeps 4), �Badger�s�, �Moley�s� & �Ratty�s� (all sleep 2) were formerly part of the old farm's outbuildings and are located in the old courtyard. They have been tastefully converted and retain much of their former features such as exposed stone walls and exposed beams, providing comfortable accommodation.

General Details

White Horse Farm is ideally situated for anybody who wishes to explore Wessex and the surrounding area. There are literally hundreds of things to do within a reasonable distance. If you don't want to do anything, but just soak up the atmosphere, you can do that in peace without the hustle and bustle of town/city life. You will find woodland walks, fishing, lakes, horse-riding, golf and various museums including Thomas Hardy's cottage. For the more adventurous, you can go shooting, karting, quadbiking or even Llama trekking!

We have a two-acre paddock which has been largely left to nature, with grass paths mown through it. There are many species of flora and fauna living in the paddock and you can often see deer and numerous species of birds from here. We also have a duck pond which you can sit around and enjoy a glass of wine

Our self-catering guests have the use of a charcoal barbeque for those hot summer evenings. Each cottage also has a small patio area with table and chairs. "The Willows" has its own private garden and BBQ.

If you are unlucky with the weather (although Dorset has among the highest number of recorded hours of sunshine in the U.K.), there are still many things to do. If you literally want to "veg-out" for the week, stay in and watch as many free videos as you want to - we have literally hundreds to chose from.

The cottages and farmhouse are within easy reach of local inns at Cerne Abbas, Buckland Newton and Longburton, which all serve good food and fine Dorset ales in a friendly atmosphere. We are also only 100 yards from the "Hunters Moon" situated next door. Some of the local pubs have skittle alleys - try your luck!
