A 1 bedroom first floor of a superbly converted barn. Spacious rooms including a bedroom with king sized bed, Lounge with reclining settee and chair, Dining table & chairs. A good selection of guide books and maps for your use during your visit, with lots of information on local activities, places to visit and where to eat the best food. Kitchen, fully equipped with Oven and grill, fridge freezer, dish washer, microwave, and all the other little things that you may need during your stay with us. We even supply tea, coffee, cleaning materiel and herbs and spices. The bathroom is superb, with a double bath for long relaxing soaks with a friend, it also has a separate large shower.

General Details

Situated on the edge of Dartmoor National Park this wonderful accommodation is a short walk from the open moor along an adjoining bridle path. We are also adjacent to cycle path 27. Plenty of outside storage for your cycles and any wet walking gear. Nearby we have a great selection of National Trust properties - you can visit a different one every day of the week. Many golf courses and fishing venues in the locality. Great for Horse riding on the open moor.

 

Other Information

Close the the historic market town of Tavistock with it's great variety of individual shops. The pannier market operates 5 days a week (6 in the summer) and has a wonderful variety of arts, crafts, food, antiques and other interesting stalls. On the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month the farmers Market comes to town with a mouth watering selection of food and drinks to enjoy or take home with you.
Tavistock has many and varied events throughout the year, Goose fair, the Ballon weekend, vintage rally, Dickensian evening, to name a few. Lots of craft and plant sales in the square and other interesting things in the Town Hall.
