Beautiful and luxurious traditional town house with courtyard, roof terraces and own pool in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Situated in the ‘Arab quarter’ of a small, historic & very Spanish Andalucían whitewashed town with all facilities, 15 minutes from the beach & just over 1 hour to the ski slopes. 40 minutes drive to Granada, & just over 1 hour to Malaga. Beautifully refurbished by a professional designer using high end fittings and finishes throughout it has two bedrooms (1 with dressing room), 2 bathrooms, 3 reception rooms and sleeps 4 - 6. Spacious self contained total relaxation and extremely central for all the local attractions (including the town’s historic Arabic local church, castle and Nazrene Gardens).

The main bathroom has a luxurious double shower with both ceiling mounted and wall mounted Grohe eco-shower fittings (Raindance showers). This is next door to bedroom 1. The second bedroom has an en suite shower with basin and a WC next door.

Please note that the property is a luxury let for 4 people - and the two bedrooms both have adjoining bathrooms (one has an en suite shower) but that it can accommodate 6 people if two are prepared to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room and share the main bathroom upstairs (WC downstairs also). The main bedroom also has a separate full room sized dressing room with extensive wardrobe & drawer space and can easily accommodate 4 people's clothes etc. Although we don't provide towels, the bedlinen is high quality 100% Egyptian Cotton throughout.

General Details

Nestled in the fertile valley of the Guadalfeo river, the picturesque white washed village of Velez de Benaudalla is located only a short drive from the popular Costa Tropical coastal towns of Salobrena (15 mins) and Almunecar (25 mins), and 40 minutes drive, through the Lecrin Valley, to Granada and the snow covered Sierra Nevada mountains and ski resort beyond.

Brimming with the remains of its moorish past, it also has an interesting mix of old and new Spain, and is able to offer a good selection of modern facilities whilst keeping its traditional roots. The historic remains include the Arabic fortress and the Church of the Rosario, as well as the Nazari Gardens - the finest example of its type outside the Alhambra in nearby Granada. The town is also host to a variety of shops including mini-markets, bakers and a pharmacy as well as some excellent local tapas bars, where the Andalucian tradition continues of offering free tapas (snacks) with every drink.
