All 3 rooms are furnished to a high standard with antique furniture. There are many thoughtful extras provided and the hospitality tray has a good selection of teas and coffee. Fresh flowers, crisp white bed linen and white fluffy towels make your stay special. Local produce is served at breakfast and the preserves, marmalade and muesli are home made as is the freshly bread baked. There is a large guest lounge and an open fire for cosy winter nights or guests are welcome to use the garden in the early evening to have a cup of tea or glass of wine and relax after spending a day exploring the area.

General Details

Situated between Monmouth and Ross on Wye in the village of Goodrich, Granton House is ideally placed to explore the beautiful county of Herefordshire and beyond. The Forest of Dean is close by and is a wonderful area to vist at any time of year. The river Wye is about a quarter of a mile away and the Brecon Beacons with Hay on Wye are approximately a leisurely 40 mins drive away. There are many well known festivals in the area including the Hay Literary Festival, Abergaveney and Ludlow food festivals, Chelteham and Chepstow race meetings etc etc. The Cotswolds are also easily reached by car in about 45 mins. All in all there is a lot to do from visiting historic towns, black and white villlages to walking the many pathways found close by.
