Sue & Tony at Hartnells offer you a genuine home from home experience. Rest and relax after your journey with tea & home-made cake then wander direct from the garden out on to the recreation ground. Here there is a children's playground & you can wander on to the Quantock Hills beyond.

There is a choice of places to eat locally in the evening within a short 3 minute walk then sit by the fire in the guest lounge to plan your next day.

Explore Exmoor Country Park, Tarr steps, Dulverton, Exford and Lorna Doone Valley. Wonder at the fantastic scenery and views across to Wales and the Brendan Hills.
Walk the coastal paths, Coleridge Way or MacMillan Way West on our doorstep. Hunt for fossils on the beaches of the Jurassic Coast in Watchet or Kilve.
Ride the West Somerset Railway that passes through our village.
Visit the historic Dunster Castle in Dunster Village or Cleeve Abbey at Washford.

Accommodation Details

One large ground floor double room has a wonderfully comfortable 6ft super-king bed which can be arranged as twin beds if preferred. Complimentary tea/coffee making facilities with fresh milk in your room & many other little extras in your large en-suite shower room.

A family suite - Our other large double room is on a private landing and can be let as a family suite with the single room if required. If the double is let we do not let the single to a third party so it is private to you. It too is like a little flat with its own staircase & is completely private.

We pride ourselves on serving locally produced ingredients and make all our own bread biscuits, cakes and preserves which has allowed us to gain the prestigious Breakfast award from Visit England as well as a 4 star grading and Silver award.

Take time to relax in the pretty garden or in the large guest sitting room in front of the fire in winter evenings. Walk on the recreation ground from our garden and follow paths to the Quantock Hills or visit the children's playground.
Ideal for families.
Well behaved dogs accepted in our ground floor. There is a tiled area where the dogs sleep between the bedroom and the en-suite & this also has a door direct to the garden for you to access with the dog. Like a little flat.

We can transport your luggage on to your next destination if you are on a walking break. We are on the MacMillan Way West and close to the Coleridge Way.
