Overview

Laurel House is an 18th farmhouse situated in the village of Culgaith, within the Eden Valley, just 10 minutes drive from J40 of the M6.

Recently renovated to modern standards, and with a Visit Britain 5 Star Gold Award rating, and a Breakfast Award, we are ideally situated for an overnight stay on the way to Scotland, or as a base from which to explore the Lake District, North Pennines, Hadrians Wall, Weardale and the North Yorkshire Dales.

 

Accommodation Details

WILLOW - Superkingsize Victorian style bed - 6' by 6'6''. Ensuite with large walk in shower.

ROWAN - Superkingsize divan bed - 6' by 6'3''. Ensuite with bath and shower.

OAK - Kingsize bed - 5' by 6'3". Ensuite with bath and shower. Available as a single.

All rooms have two tub armchairs, flat screen Freeview T.V's, trouser press, security safe, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers, dressing gowns and large fluffy towels.

General Details

We cannot accommodate under 16's and do not have family rooms. Due to the age of the building, and the number of steps, we are unsuitable for wheelchairs.

Booking is a non-refundable deposit of �35 by credit card. Cancellations of booking within 48 hours of arrival, or a non-show, will be charged the full balance.

Unfortunately we do not accept pets, with the exception of Assistance Dogs.

Check-in is between 16.00-19.00. Outside of these times by arrangement. We do not accept check-ins after 21.00.

 

Other Information

A full Cumbrian breakfast, with homemade bread and preserves, and locally sourced produce is included in the room rate.
