Langton Manor Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast is a listed 17th Century Purbeck Stone farmhouse, set in a Conservation Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the ancient stone masons� village of Langton Matravers. We offer a relaxing and peaceful location away from the crowds but only a 5 minute drive into Swanage with its restaurants, shops and award winning beach.

 

Accommodation Details

The bedroom is a self-contained family room with private staircase, a double and a single bed. The room is spacious and we frequently accommodate families of four with a zed-bed. Facilities include an ensuite shower-room, television, kettle, tea and coffee, hair-dryer and drying room. Our generous farmhouse breakfast includes home-made jams and marmalade and will set you up for the day. There is off-road parking and the large garden is available for guests to enjoy.

General Details

The village has a post office/general stores and a pub providing lunch and evening meals. The Isle of Purbeck offers many activiities inlcuding cliff, woodland and heathland walks both along the South West Coast Path and amongst the Purbeck Hills. We are only 20 minutes walk across National Trust land to Dancing Ledge and the coast-path and a ten minute drive to the safe, sandy beaches at Studland.

 

Other Information

Local activities include climbing, sailing, watersports, fishing trips, bird watching. fossil collecting, cycling and horse-riding. Dolphins and puffins can occasionally be spotted at Durlston Park in Swanage. The Medieval village and ruins of Corfe Castle are 5 miles away and linked to Swanage by the restored Steam Railway. From Poole harbour (linked to Studland by the chain ferry) a trip by boat can be taken to Brownsea Island with its peacock and red squirrel reserve. Other local attractions include Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum and Putlake Adventure Farm.
