Wiltshire countryside Lorne House offers visitors a
smart sophisticated place to stay. With our recently
refurbished interior, Lorne House is a stylish B&B
providing guests with an elegant charm and friendly
welcome.
The childhood home to the Author Reverend W Awdry Lorne
House was the inspiration of the Thomas the Tank Engine
stories.
With its beautiful solid oak floors wonderful soft
furnishings and furniture Lorne House is a great place
to spend a relaxing break or take a pleasant business
trip.
Set in the village of Box there is a great choice of
Pubs within easy walking distance and Bath is only 6
miles away offering the guest a great range of
restaurants and hostelries.
Accommodation Details
Lorne House has five beautifully designed bedrooms all of which have en-suite wet rooms with invigorating showers, two with baths. We can provide varied accommodation as singles, doubles, twins to triples and quads.
Guests can relax and enjoy a good night�s sleep in our Egyptian cotton bed linen and make use of the features in each room which include a flat screen TV, free WIFI internet connection, coffee and tea a hairdryer and Ironing and laundry facilities are also available upon request.

The B&B is nestled on the southern slope of the Brook Valley and falls within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; this gives a fantastic location to explore West Wiltshire and the city of Bath.
Bath is an impressive and exiting place to visit, with its Roman Baths, Norman Abbey and Georgian crescents. There are city tours which take place everyday including bus, boat and walking.
A short drive takes the visitor to Castle Combe and Lacock both of which are national Trust villages and are frequent locations for TV film and period dramas. Avebury and Stonehenge are two ancient stone circles that prove fascinating to the visitor.
