Overview

Orchard Farmhouse is an old Georgian farmhouse. We are the only Soil Association certified Organic Bed and Breakfast in Dorset. That means we guarantee a 100% organic breakfast. As well as local sausages, eggs and bacon for the full English we also have a varied and interesting vegetarian breakfast menu.
From the warm, comfortable rooms (en suite or with private bathroom) you have panoramic views over the gardens, fields and hills. There is a large comfortable sitting room with wood burner, which gives out onto a large terrace.

Accommodation Details

Our ensuite double (which can have an extra bed put in to make it a family room) is quite spacious and has an extra space for hanging and spreading out your clothes. There is space for a cot if you are bringing your baby. Views are to the garden, orchard, fields and hills and also over a beautiful little garden to another very old farmhouse.
We also have a small double. This has an exellent private bathroom with bath and separate shower.
There is sometimes a small basic single that can be taken with the doubles if you are bringing a child and you prefer them to have a separate room. They then share your bathroom.

General Details

Wander down through the garden to our fields and see our Woodland and Wildlife project, a newly planted wood, a forest garden and our Portland sheep.
Our area is great for cycling because the roads are so quiet. There are also walks along the ridgeway or just around the village.
There is lots to do in the area. You can drive to the Dorset beaches, from Studland Bay, to Lulworth and Durdle Door, Weymouth, the Chesil Beach and Lyme Regis. Or you can explore some lovely gardens and stately homes. We are half way between Stourhead and Kingston Lacy, for example.
