Overview

PILLOWERY PARK is a unique ecofriendly house designed and built by Chris West in 2000 and is now run as a B&B with his wife Sylvia.
It stands in a quiet lane with outstanding views across Bideford Bay and the lovely Devon countryside.
A 20 minutes walk across the fields takes you to the pretty cobbled streets of the timeless village of Clovelly.

 

Accommodation Details

One double room, king size bed, with an en-suite shower room and
views across the fields to the Bristol Channel, Bideford bay and Wales [on a good day!].
Two twin bedded rooms, both with separate private shower rooms, 1 with sea views and both with views across the unspoilt Devon countryside.

General Details

There is an under floor heating system with extra radiators in the shower rooms. Both the hot and cold are full mains pressure, with water saving 'Ecocamel' shower heads, so the showers are wonderful.
Solar panels preheat the water and the toilets are flushed with a separate rainwater system.
The internal d�cor and fittings are of a high standard.
All rooms have Freeview TV, WiFi connection, tea and coffee tray with wine glasses and opener.
Also there is a hairdryer and an alarm clock radio.
There is plenty of parking on our property at the front of the house and there is a baby grand piano in the dining room which guests are encouraged to play.

 

Other Information

The house is strictly Non Smoking and there are no facilities for pets.
The owner, Chris, trained as a chef before becoming a builder, so you can be sure of a hearty breakfast before you explore the wonders of North Devon.
We are a short walk from the 630 miles [1,000 kilometres] of the South West Coast Path and the timeless ancient village of Clovelly.
The are numerous lovely gardens in the area including the Royal Horticultural Gardens of Rosemoor.
Small beaches abound as well as the sands at Westward Ho!
The secluded Island of Lundy is only 1 hour away by small boats from Clovelly harbour.
At nearby Hartland Quay the scenery is stunning and open to the Atlantic gales, at times.
The Milky Way amusement park is just a mile away for all day entertainment in wet weather.
