Overview

Roscrea was built in 1805 and has been lovingly and sympathetically restored to the highest standard. A house full of history and interesting stories set in the fascinating former county town of Bodmin.

Roscrea was once home to the schoolmaster who established the first grammar school in Bodmin; he lived here with his family, a cook, a housemaid and a nurse...and up to 14 boarding pupils from around the county.

Roscrea, now home to Sarah and Nick, offers you a uniquely Cornish welcome and we invite you to stay with us and enjoy the comforts of our home.

Breakfast is a feast of local delights.... homemade bread, jams & marmalade and eggs from our own hens.
Bodmin is the county town of Cornwall and has it's own facinating history & heritage. Nearby is the world famous Eden Project, Bodmin Moor & Daphne Du Mauriers Fowey, just a stone's throw away is the fabulous surf of the North Cornwall Coast, Padstow, Port Issac & Tintagel Castle. Land's End & St. Ives is a little over an hour's drive away.
