Manesty Holiday Cottages is the ideal base for your Lake District self catering holiday. At Manesty you�re in for a treat amongst some of England�s most spectacular scenery: walk the lake shores, valleys and high fells; tour picturesque villages and fascinating places; cycle, row, birdwatch, fish, climb; or simply unwind in rural tranquility.

Our 6 cottages, 1 to 4 bedrooms in size, are converted from the original farmstead buildings and constructed in the traditional Lakeland style. They are comfortably furnished and well equipped: facilities include satellite TV, DVD players, free wireless broadband internet and an outdoor, all natural, woodfired hot tub which can be booked by the day. In addition to the cottage accommodation, we have a luxury cottage available for short breaks for that special occaision, a studio apartment for short breaks all year round and a caravan for the �close to nature� experience.

As a family business, we are proud to offer excellent value and our guests� comfort is our priority. In the interests of our customers we have a no smoking indoors policy and do not take pets.

Situated in the beautiful valley of Borrowdale, just five miles from Keswick, Manesty Holiday Cottages is in the heart of the Lake District. The elevated situation gives magnificent views across Borrowdale, and the extensive well kept grounds are attractive all year round. Less than a mile from the shores of Derwentwater, Manesty is one of the most peaceful corners of Borrowdale. The picturesque village of Grange is 3/4 mile away. Manesty has been in the Leyland family for six generations, so we are a mine of local knowledge. Accommodation Details

We have 6 cottages, a studio apartment and a holiday caravan.

Manesty Band (4 bedrooms), Manesty (3 bedrooms), High Seat (2 bedrooms) and Manesty Dairy (1 bedroom) are available from Saturday to Saturday for weekly lets.

Cocklety How Stable Loft (3 bedrooms) is available Monday - Friday and Friday - Monday. There is a discount for stays of 7 nights or longer, and also a sliding scale of prices depending on your party size so that smaller parties are also accommodated.

Cocklety How Byre (1 bedroom) is also available Monday - Friday and Friday - Monday. Our luxury cottage, it is spacious and luxuriously appointed. There is a sofa bed in the living area for those requiring a twin or wanting to accomodate an extra person.

Cocklety How Studio is available for short breaks of any length all year round.

Our holiday caravan is available March - Oct, for up to 4 people for weekkly lets Saturday - Saturday.

All f our accommodation is all well-appointed, warm and well-equipped. There is plenty of hot water for showers or baths to refresh tired limbs. there are books, games, satellite TV, DVD/video and wireless internet to keep everyone happily occupied in the evenings or on the days when you just want to enjoy the setting, having escaped from the day-to-day bustle of working life.

You won�t be living on top of each other. There is a lot of room inside to spread yourselves about plus lovely grounds outside with generous garden furniture to take in the panoramic view.

There is ample parking space, and we can arrange for your cycles, kayaks and other kit to be safely stored.

Other Information

We have a all natural wood fired hot tub which can be hired for the day. A great way to relax and enjoy your surroundings after a hard day on the fells!
