Overview

Primrose Cottage provides characterful holiday accommodation for up to four people in the heart of medieval Sandwich. It's a grade 2 listed building with oak beams, lovely inglenook fireplace and a small private courtyard. The house is compact and cosy, tastefully furnished and ideal for a couple or small family. We are dog friendly but regret no children under eleven.

Garage parking is provided nearby. All the town's amenities are right on the doorstep. They includie an interesting range of shops, two supermarkets, banks, cafes, pubs, restaurants and mainline railway station.

Unspoiled Sandwich Bay is two miles away. Among the other local attractions are boat trips from the ancient quay, a wealth of medieval buildings, Salutation House and Gardens and the Roman fort at Richborough.

 

Accommodation Details

Accommodation is compact and a little quirky, with limited headroom in places. There are two bedrooms: one double and one twin. The latter is up very steep stairs, making that room unsuitable for young children or anyone who is unfit.

Facilities include wi-fi broadband, gas central heating, wood-burner stove, electric cooker and hob, fridge, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, TV, DVD players and digital radio.

General Details

Within a radius of 12 miles are historic Canterbury, Ramsgate with its Royal Harbour, Deal and Dover with their castles and Broadstairs with its many sandy bays.

Buses and trains are readily available to all those locations and - for a longer day out - to London too. Or you might fancy a day trip to France by ferry or Eurotunnel.
