Stick Cottage is a one bedroom, single storey stone cottage for up to 3 people, ideally situated for exploring Anglesey, the North Wales coast and the mountains of Snowdonia.

 

Accommodation Details

Stick Cottage in Dwyran, South-West Anglesey, is a sensitively modernised one bedroom, single storey stone cottage, standing in the owner's grounds with its own pleasant garden and rural setting. Offering ideal accommodation for up to three people, the property is well equipped and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday in Wales.

Stick Cottage is steeped in history, with some parts dating back to the 19th century. Decorated and furnished to a high standard, Stick Cottage boasts cosy and comfortable accommodation. All the rooms have views of the gardens. The cottage accommodation is all on the ground floor (there are however steps which may make it less suitable if you have additional access needs).

The good sized bedroom has comfortable twin divan beds, which can be pushed together to form a comfortable 'double' bed. Although the accommodation is ideal for a couple, there is room in the bedroom or sitting room for an airbed (available on request) for an extra child or adult. The charming, cosy sitting room has an inglenook fireplace with an electric 'wood burner' stove and exposed beams. The kitchen-diner is well equipped with an electric induction hob, microwave with convection oven and grill, fridge and dining table and chairs. There is a useful crog loft overlooking the kitchen (accessed by fixed vertical ladder) for storage etc. Use of a freezer and washing machine are available on request. There is a shower room with shower, basin and WC. The cottage has its own garden area with garden furniture and barbecue, a perfect place to relax.

Full oil central heating with additional heating from electric 'wood-burner' stove in sitting room. Colour TV, DVD player, wireless internet access, numerous tourist leaflets, selection of games, puzzles, books and DVD's. Fuel and power included in summer months (�25 per week fuel supplement 1st Oct - 31st Mar). Bed linen included in rent but please bring your own towels. Own garden area with garden furniture and barbecue. Off road parking for 2 cars. Cot and highchair available by prior arrangement. Kayak and bike storage available. Use of freezer and washing machine on request. This is a non-smoking property. Sorry no pets. Village shops, pub, caf� and take-aways (Indian or Fish and Chips) all within 5 mins drive.

With everything so close by and a special pick-up/drop-off service for kayakers, walkers and cyclists, Stick Cottage is the place to spend your holiday!

General Details

Stick Cottage is situated in Dwyran, in the South-West of Anglesey, arguably one of the most beautiful parts of the island. Stick Cottage is a comfortable self-catering base for 2-3 people, and is ideally situated for exploring Anglesey, the North Wales coast and the mountains of Snowdonia.

The cottage is close to the famous National Nature Reserve of Newborough Warren and Beach, an area of unspoilt dunes and sandy beaches, with other equally beautiful beaches at Aberffraw, Cable Bay, Lligwy, Traeth Bychan, Church Bay and Benllech, all less than half an hour's drive from Stick Cottage. Anglesey is a fantastic location for wildlife and is home to a huge variety of wildflowers. Newborough forest is a recent stronghold for red squirrels and is famous for its raven roost, often numbering in the thousands. Ornithologists will also spot plenty of waders and waterfowl from the hides at Newborough and Malltraeth. The coastal footpath and various kayak launch sites are nearby, while the picturesque villages of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll and Menai Bridge are within a short drive of the cottage. Further afield, it takes approximately 30 minutes to reach the mountains of Snowdonia, the Victorian seaside town of Llandudno or the castles of Beaumaris and Caernarfon.

If you are a kayaker interested in circumnavigating Anglesey or a walker who fancies the coastal path, you may be interested in our pick-up service. The service allows you to undertake linear trips, safe in the knowledge that you can be collected from any suitable point at the end of the day, or some interim point if conditions become unfavourable.
