Fishermen are well catered for at Weston Pools with the choice of five fishing lakes (by arrangement extra charge) a well-stocked tackle shop and a small cafe. Oswestry offers a fine selection of independent shops a weekly street market and an excellent selection of eateries and pubs. The surrounding area holds a myriad of visitor attractions and outdoor leisure pursuits including magnificent National Trust castles at both Chirk and Welshpool and Erdigg Hall at Wrexham with its woodland walks and horse drawn carriage rides. Llangollen just over the border in Wales is home to steam trains horse drawn canal boat rides the world famous annual music Eisteddfod and for the more adventurous white water rafting on the River Dee. Golf riding climbing and walking can all be enjoyed locally. Shop 1 mile and pub 0.5 miles.
