Overview

The Bateman Arms is an 18th Century, three storey coaching inn situated in the small village of Shobdon in the unspoilt County of Herefordshire, just a few miles from the Welsh Border.

This listed building is of striking and unusual design, and plays host to some of the last of the old cobbled paving in the area, just outside our front door.

The Inn itself offers a wealth of character; you can sit in the friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the bar, with its oak beams and large fireplace, where we serve a selection of light meals. Alternatively you can eat in our restaurant, which offers a menu of locally produced and sourced dishes.

 

Accommodation Details

All of our rooms, both those in the main building itself and those in the "Coach House", share the same high standards and attention to detail. All rooms are en-suite, with either bath or shower, provide remote control, digital television, tea and coffee making facilities, bath robes (on request) and a hair dryer. BT Openzone Public Wi-Fi internet access is also available, and two of the rooms are suitable for families of up to two adults and two children.

From 1st April to 31st September: All rooms are �95 per room, per night bed and breakfast. All our rooms are either double or twin ensuite, and the price for single occupancy is �60.
