The hotel is of 3 star standard and located in Hovingham, a handsome Yorkshire village set in glorious, green countryside. If you're planning to come by car, you've picked the touring base from heaven! Within a short drive, you've got historic York (20 miles), the castle towns of Helmsley (7 miles) and Pickering (19 miles), the market towns of Malton (8 miles) and Thirsk (18 miles) and the coastal joys of Whitby (39 miles) and Scarborough (31 miles).

 

Accommodation Details

We have twenty individually decorated bedrooms. Due to the nature and the age of the property they all vary in size and shape. We have one comfortable single room located in the main building and a further eleven standard doubles and superior rooms with their roomy king size beds, while not forgetting our antique four-poster room popular with honeymooners and those seeking a romantic break. Eight further rooms including two superior rooms are located across the village green in a row of restored Yorkshire cottages.

General Details

Located in the picturesque village of Hovingham, The Worsley Arms is well placed for visiting both the historic city of York and the majestic North Yorkshire Moors. Built in 1841 in a style described as late Georgian, the hotel�s purpose was to provide accommodation for visitors to Hovingham Spa which was located on the outskirts of the village along the track that we now know as the Ebor Way. Sadly the spa is long gone, but the hotel remains and continues to welcome travellers from near and far who enjoy the hotels cosy old world charm.
