The Hayloft is perfect as a romantic retreat with four-poster bed, but can sleep 6 plus a small sofa bed. It is full of character with oak beams, limestone detailing, and lovely soft furnishings. Outstanding features of this beautiful home are an upstairs lounge with window seats to take in the views, a fully heated conservatory, a handcrafted oak kitchen, a Games Room with table tennis and table football, a pretty enclosed garden suitable for pets and on-site parking.

 

Accommodation Details

From the moment you enter The Hayloft, you will feel on holiday in a home rather than a stark holiday cottage.
The entrance hall leads into the hub of the house - the dining kitchen - with an antique fireplace and large oak dining table seating 8. The 'cook's kitchen' features oak cupboards, black granite worktops and local slate floors and is very well equipped with induction hob, fan oven, Bosch dishwasher, fridge and good quality crockery. This leads into the oak conservatory with slate roof and central heating; a second lounge, it features a TV, books and games and a panoramic view of the garden.
The sumptuous four-poster double bedroom is on the ground floor next to the power shower room, with pentangle enclosure.
Up the galleried oak staircase, there are a double and a twin room, both with pocket sprung mattresses, cosy duvets and pillows and luxury bedding. The larger upstairs bathroom has a corner bath, heated towel rail and endless hot water.The lounge has 2 luxury sofas, a SMART TV and gas fire, and is beautifully furnished.
The pretty enclosed garden has a lawn, flower beds, pergola, teak furniture and BBQ and parking for 2 cars. A spacious converted limestone stable houses a Games Room with full size table tennis, darts and table football and a Laundry Room with washing machine and tumble drier and trough ideal for washing muddy paws and boots.

The Hayloft is located in Allithwaite, a pretty village overlooking Morecambe Bay, with 2 pubs (The Pheasant has an open fire, good food and accepts pets and is 1 minute from the cottage). It also has a Post Office and General Stores, Charity Shop, Church and Play Ground. There are walks from The Hayloft, which is on the Cumbria Coastal Way.
The Hayloft is within a 5-minute drive of Cartmel, Grange-over-Sands and Holker Hall and it is a further 5 minutes to the foot of Lake Windermere. It is 20 minutes to Kendal, Ulverston, Bowness-on-Windermere and the heart of the Lake District.
