Downstairs a sitting room features the original 300yr old flagstone floors but is warm and cosy with the addition of a new Rayburn, The Kitchen is cosy with heated floors, fully fitted oak top units and belfast sink,
Downstairs Bathroom wet-room with heater floor and towel rail has marbled walls wide expanse roof-light, and provides shower facilities, WC and WHB.
Externally the mature garden, recently chosen to feature in the Hook Norton Open Gardens event also include a large south facing Summerhouse with heating, insulation and power, making for quiet relaxation, peaceful breakfast with the papers or and evening G&T.
For the more active guests a bike store and boots or dog washing area allow for the full enjoyment of this area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

No 1 Country Cottage is neatly tucked away from the road in a quiet spot in the historical part of Hook Norton home to the famous Victorian steam driven Hook Norton Brewery, this is one of the most picturesque and un-spoilt thatched villages and the gateway to the North Cotswolds area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB), as such it is perfect for activities such as trekking, biking, walking, golfing and fishing.

This location is within easy reach of Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water, Broadway, Chipping Campden, The Tews and Moreton in Marsh, with the beautiful Historical Houses and Gardens of Blenheim, Broughton, Sezincote, Chastleton, Upton, Rowsham and Bastford Arboretum all within a short drive.

 

Other Information

This area is well served with wonderful farm shops to visit, including the award winning Daylesford Organic and a fine range of famous Gastro pubs and restaurants. For those keen gardeners Whichford pottery is within walking distance and a perfect pace to pick up some holiday gifts. Horse enthusiasts may be keen to know that The Cheltenham Race course home to National Hunt Racing is only 25 miles drive away and the Blenheim Horse trials are only 14 miles away. Plenty to do in this un-spoilt area.
