Self catering holiday cottage on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, available all year round for self catering holidays or breaks. Tidal Island situated off Northumberland coast, cut off twice daily from the mainland, adding an air of peace & tranquility when tide is in and day visitors leave. Beautiful secluded beaches and golden sands, ideal for long walks, bird watching, seal spotting, horse riding or simply recharging your batteries. As well as being one of the birthplaces of Christianity in Britain in the 7th Century, Lindisfarne Priory (20 metres away from the cottage) was founded by St.Aiden in AD 635.

 

Accommodation Details

Late 18th Century Cottage, well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge, oak beams, open fire, dinning room seats six; 2 x bathrooms, one with walk-in shower on 2nd floor, both with wc's. Sleeps 6 in total with 3 bedrooms:1st floor, large master double and smaller bedroom with bunk beds (10 stone limit on top bunk). The 2nd foor is practically self contained and has a twin bedroom and own shower, wc and hand basin. Patio area with garden furniture, non-smoking establishment, ample parking.

Other Information

There are two pubs, many tea & coffee houses, several restaurants, a post office, village store and several churches of course. Lindisfarne Castle and Lindisfarne Priory are two historic attractions nearby. The lovely town of Berwick on Tweed is 10 miles away and Seahouses 20 miles with boat trips to the Puffin colony on the Farne Islands and marvellous fish & chips.
