Overview

Frogs Hall Barn is a traditional brick, fully beamed converted Norfolk barn, in the Hamlet of Woodgate. The property is set in 4 acres of beautiful countryside - a tranquil haven tucked away down a single track lane but just 14 miles from the delights of Norwich City with its fine shops, restaurants and entertainments. Both the Broads and the Coast are within an easy 40 minute drive. The village of Swanton Morley is minutes away and has two pubs (both serving delicious lunchtime and evening meals), a butchers, delicatessen, a small mini-market with post office & Hunter's Hall (wedding receptions) is just down the lane.

We can offer a lovely large, superior, double, beamed bedroom with small luxury en-suite shower room (can be used for a young family of 3 - under 2 yrs free). The room is double aspect looking out onto a small courtyard with an abundance of pot plants which is very colourful during the spring and summer months. Our second delightful standard double bedroom is also available & has a small luxury en-suite shower room. Both are on the ground floor in the main barn & are equipped with flatscreen TV with Freeview channels, clock radio alarm, hair dryer and a refreshment tray with a selection of hot drinks and biscuits. There is wireless internet connection if you wish to bring your laptop.

Breakfast on cereal, fruit juice and Yoghurt. Freshly brewed coffee is available throughout breakfast time or have a pot of tea made just for you. Be satisfied by a full English breakfast freshly cooked with sausage, egg, bacon (2), tomatoes, mushrooms and hashbrowns. Finish the repast with toast, butter and marmalade or jam. Enough to satisfy and to begin the day whether on holiday or business.

Breakfast is served in the beamed Dining Room that looks out over our flowering meadows. After you have had your fill of a full English Breakfast why not take a stroll through the grounds or sit peacefully in our delightfully secluded courtyard. We have our own chickens (lovely fresh eggs for breakfast) and a dovecote which attracts many wild birds including pheasants as well as our own white fantail doves. You may even see a deer or two coming up to feed from the bird table. Our two meadows have mown pathways so that you can wander around at your leisure and in the bottom meadow there is a large fully stocked koi pond.

General Details

Frogs Hall Barn is set in an idyllic rural lacation on the outskirts of the hamlet of Woodgate overlooking open countryside in its own 4 acre grounds.

Close by Swanton Morley (easily walkable) has its mediaeval church, Mill Bakery and several other village shops including two country pubs. Its church is mentioned in the Doomsday Book as having a �church with one and a half acres, worth two pence�.

Nearby Dereham, is steeped in history and has a wide choice of restaurants, pubs, tea-rooms and a good selection of shops. There is a monthly farmers market and a large market every Friday and a smaller market on Tuesday�s.

Dereham has several recreational facilities including golf, tennis, swimming and bowls including an abundance of picturesque spots to take a walk such as the Vicarage Meadow and Neatherd Moor.

Places to visit include Dereham�s 19th century windmill, mid Norfolk railway and the Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse.

Dereham gives easy access & is central to some wonderful Norfolk sandy beaches, Norwich, the wonderful Broads and the delights of North Norfolk.
