Overview

Hazelwood is an early Victorian country guesthouse set within 67 acres of wild river valley - an area of outstanding natural beauty in the heart of South Devon.

The house has 14 bedrooms (see accommodation details) and a restaurant which is open to everyone all year round for lunches, dinner and cream teas.

Being in a secluded location, the house is popular with private parties, weddings and civil ceremonies. We can cater for any celebration and our chefs are more than capable of creating interesting dishes to suit your dietary needs.
The restaurant serves local and organic fine food.

Hazelwood runs an eclectic programme of concerts, workshops, cultural and art weekends throughout the year. (see our website for more details).

Accommodation Details

Hazelwood has 14 comfortable and gracious bedrooms. The rooms on the first floor are all en-suite, most with stunning valley views. The top floor rooms are more basic with the use of several shared bathrooms. Each room is individually decorated and within keeping of the houses original decor which includes antique furniture and paintings. All rooms are equipped with hot drink facilitates and flat screen televisions.

General Details

Breakfast is served between 8:30am and 10am.
Check in after 3pm. Check out at 11am.
Dogs are welcome at a surcharge of �10 per night.
Cots are available to hire.
Children under 3 are free of charge.
Children under 12 are half price - this includes food in the restaurant.
Welly boots and umbrellas can be borrowed for explorers.
Please make sure you book in to eat at the restaurant, we have a small team of staff so it is very helpful if you let us know in advance.

 

Other Information

South Devon offers a wide range of attractions.
30 minutes in either direction visitors have access to Dartmoor national Park and the award winning beaches and coastline that Devon is so well renowned for.
The market towns of Kinsgbridge and Totnes are 15 minutes away with the waterside towns of Dartmouth and Salcombe an easy 25 minute drive.

Walking trails are plentiful from Hazelwood along the beautiful river Avon.
