Overview

Penyrallt Fach Cottage is a 19th century former piggery & offers traditional accommodation of great character on an organic farm overlooking the lovely Teifi Valley of north Carmarthenshire.
It is an ideal base from which to discover the glories of West Wales; the many wonderful ancient sites & castles, attractive small market towns & villages, the stunning coastlines of Cardigan Bay & Pembrokeshire & the dramatic landscapes of the Preseli & Cambrian mountains.

Accommodation Details

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen/dining/sitting-room with exposed beams & wood-lined ceilings. It is decorated throughout in a palette of bold colours giving a sense of welcome & comfort. As well as the farmhouse table with seating for 4, there is a comfortable sofa & easy chairs & a wood-burning stove to relax by after days on the beach of walking in the hills.
On arrival guests will find a small welcome basket of organic/fairtrade items, a fresh home-baked cake & flowers from the garden on the table.
For entertainment there are many books, dvds & board-games as well as a tv, dvd-player & digital radio with iPod dock.
The two bedrooms, a double & a twin, are simply & attractively furnished with all bedlinen supplied.
The bathroom has a bath with hand-held shower, wash-basin, lavatory, heated towel-rail & washing-machine. Towels are provided.
All fuel for the wood-burner & electricity are included in the price.
The water supply comes from pure natural springs on the farm.

General Details

.One well-behaved dog is welcome by prior arrangement @ �10.
The cottage has an enclosed (though not dog-proof) garden with garden furniture.
The farm is a member of the Soil Asssociation Open Farm Network.

 

Other Information

The beaches of Cardigan Bay & the coast paths of Pembrokeshire & Cerdigion are only 30 minutes away.
The National Botanic Gardens of Wales & the historic gardens of Aberglasney are within easy reach.
