Overview

Set in the hauntingly beautiful Glenshiel with breath-taking views from most of its windows, Woodlands is an extremely comfortable cottage that enjoys the best of both worlds being in a remote location yet having a shop, bar and restaurant within easy walking distance.

With 22 Munros in the area it is perfect for the hillwalker. With a myriad of low and mid-level walks it is ideal for ramblers - wander through deserted glens, alongside tumbling burns, cascading waterfalls or along the tranquil banks of nearby Loch Duich. Elean Donan Castle and the iron-age brochs of Glenelg are also nearby, and various boat trips including seal-spotting trips and glass-bottomed boat trips are within easy reach. Boat hire and fishing on the loch is also available. Finally, the house itself is perfect for large get-togethers and, importantly for the accompanying adults, children love it. Pets are welcome.

 

Accommodation Details

Woodlands has five bedrooms and four bathrooms and easily accommodates 12. It has a huge 20ft x 20ft lounge and a 20ft x 16ft kitchen. It also has a snug. There is a games room in a timber outbuilding. The house sits in a half acre plot with woodland rising steeply up the mountain behind. It has a large rustic garden befitting the area. . The lounge has TV, DVD, CD and ipod docking station. It also has free Wi Fi. There are numerous games, jigsaws and books. The kitchen has a gas hob, double electric oven, microwave, large slow cooker, toastie maker, toaster, hand blender, coffee grinder, juicer, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, and fridge/freezer.
