Cartomie is a modern bungalow in a rural setting close to the scenic Dornoch Firth. You can enjoy the sunsets in the evening and have breakfast in the morning in the conservatory with lovely panoramic views of Struie Hill.

 

Accommodation Details

We are a non-smoking household with two en-suite rooms. One double with en-suite shower and one king-size double/twin with en-suite bath/shower.
Both rooms are equipped with hairdryer, flat screen freesat television and tea and coffee making facilities. Private parking.
You can enjoy breakfast in the conservatory with lovely panoramic views of Struie Hill.

General Details

We are close to the village of Edderton. Nearby, 9 miles, is Dornoch, with it's famous golf course and Cathedral and the historic Royal Burgh of Tain is 5 miles away with a choice of places to eat.
We are well positioned for visiting the coastal villages such as Portmahomack, Golspie and Brora and the lovely beaches of Dornoch and Embo are just a short drive away.
The historic Edderton Old Church has a preaching ark and Pictish stone in the churchyard. There is another Pictish stone in the center of the village. These stones are part of the Pictish Trail, which winds it's way through this part of the coast. More stones can be seen on the Fearn Penninsular and at the Tarbet Discovery Center.
The whole area is good for wildlife. National Nature Reserve of Loch Fleet is popular for its birds and seals. Channonery point with the possiblities of Dolphins is on the Black Isle.

 

Other Information

We are in a good position for the Orkney ferries and for visiting the north and west coasts, which are approximately 2 hours away. Inverness is less than 1 hours drive to the south.
